Our Special Friends Program matches youth with positive role models for a period of six months to a year. The program is an added service to youth already participating in other programs and services of Host Homes.
Mentors are special volunteers who spend time with a young person in need of a role model, a “Special Friend.” These volunteers add a very personal dimension to the work of Host Homes. Mentors are asked to provide just one contact a week with their young friend.
Host Homes provides a two-hour orientation and training program for all mentors. Contact the Host Homes office for more information on Special Friends.
